Cocoa butter
Cocoa Butter is obtained from the fruit of the Cacao tree which grows in tropical regions throughout the world. The butter is extracted from the seed kernels. It melts in the hand making it softening to the skin. It has natural antioxidants which help protect from free radicals which can damage the skin. It is also nourishing to skin.
Coconut Oil
It makes the skin smooth and satin-like. It is used as softener for the skin and because of its lubricating properties is used in soap. It is also beneficial for dry hair. It makes a hard bar with big bubbly lather…. an absolute must for veggie soaps.
Grapeseed Oil
It is obtained from the seeds of grapes. It leaves the skin with a smooth satin finish without being greasy. It is non-toxic and hypoallergenic and is therefore good for use in creams and lotions.
Jojoba
This oil mirrors the skin’s own natural oil, sebum, and helps balance the skin. It has good moisturizing properties and is helpful for eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and sunburn.
Macadamia
Macadamia Oil is obtained by cold pressing of the seeds of the macadamia tree. The macadamia tree is a native Australian rainforest tree, which is evergreen and grows up to 15 meters high. It is easily absorbed by the skin. It can also be beneficial to skin of older people. Macadamia oil is great to use since it is readily absorbed and helps to soften the skin and is also said to help reduce fine lines when used in facial massage.
Mango Butter
Mango Butter is obtained from the fruit seed of the mango tree grown in the sub-tropics of India and other parts of the world. It is very good at moisturizing dry patches on cracked or chapped skin. It is a great source of essential fatty acids and is a mild lubricant.
Olive Oil
It has calming, soothing and softening properties. It is beneficial to dry skin and mature skin. It provides nourishment to skin, hair and nails and has antioxidants which protect the skin from free radicals.
Palm Oil
This oil is moisturizing and helps protect the skin. Our palm oil is from an RSPO (Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil) approved source which helps protect Indonesian Rainforests and the wildlife therein. Palm helps create a harder bar of soap which is conditioning to the skin.
Shea butter
This butter is wonderfully moisturising. It helps to combat the effects of sun and aging. It is extremely therapeutic, helping to heal cracked, aged and damaged skin. Its chemical constituents help to heal bruising and soreness. Shea butter penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It is a natural humectant which means it enables our skin to absorb moisture from the air, and as a result, it becomes softer and stays moisturized for longer. In addition, Shea butter contains vitamin A which can improve many skin conditions. It is also rich in vitamin E, a natural preservative that lengthens the life of the butter against rancidity and contains natural antioxidants a key ingredient in many anti wrinkle creams/serums.
Wheatgerm oil
This pressed orangey/brown sticky oil contains several vitamins including A, B1, B2, B3, B6, E and F. Levels of vitamin E are typically 7 times higher than other oils. It is very good for revitalizing dry skin and believed to help relieve symptoms of dermatitis. It can be beneficial for tired muscles and its natural antioxidants are effective against free radicals. It softens the skin making it more supple due to its cell regenerative properties
